THE POPE AND PRESIDENT OBAMA bad news

Well they both look pretty happy about something.
But is God happy about them?
In the US there is such a thing as the Catholic vote – but unfortunately President Obama has more idea how to manipulate it than the Pope does.
Catholics nearly all vote like everybody else – for the candidate promising the lowest taxes and the biggest handouts, and who looks smoothest on television.
Meanwhile President Obama promotes abortion both inside the USA and out.
He promotes also embryo-killing forms of stem cell research and cuts funding of research on ethically-acceptable alternatives. (see “Stem Cells and Common Sense” on this blog, 1 July 2009).
Likewise, Mr Obama told a gathering of hundreds of homosexual activists at the White House on 29/6/2009 that, “We have made progress and we will make more . . . by the time this administration is over, I think you guys will have pretty good feelings about the Obama administration.”
Of course, some of Mr Obama’s policies are compatible with the Catholic Faith.
But is that good enough?

BETTER NEWS ABOUT PRESIDENT OBAMA
A recent Rasmussen Poll found, for the first time, President Obama having a negative approval index –31 percent of Americans strongly approving of how he is doing his job, 33 percent strongly disapproving. (Newsmax, 30/6/2009)
Certainly many US Catholic bishops are highly critical of the President — and may be wishing the Pope was giving them more visible support.
All Catholics committed to Catholic Tradition — the Traditional Catholic Mass and traditional Catholic moral teachings — will be praying for Mr Obama’s conversion and/or removal.
