GOODBYE DEMOCRACY: The war against normal families is heating up

Deputy Opposition Leader in the Australian state of Queensland, Lawrence Springborg, has introduced a Bill that would exclude same-sex and single parents from accessing surrogacy.
Attorney-General, Cameron Dick. calls Mr Springborg’s Bill “offensive”, and says, “The National Party has again ridden roughshod over the views of its liberal constituents.”
This argument isn’t really about being nice to supporters of the National Party, is it? Mr Dick is not especially interested in them.
Nor is it about the best interests of young children. If Mr Dick was interested in them, he would be opposing all surrogacy.

No, Mr Dick seeks to denigrate normal families, and wants to stay sweet with minority-based lobbyists of whom he is afraid.
The present tactic is simply name-calling. It may later be progressed to more “roughshod” tactics.
Get-tough anti-Christian tactics are already well advanced in other countries, such as England.
* Theresa Davies, Deputy Registrar with Islington Borough Council, (London) was demoted for refusing to preside over same-sex ‘civil partnership’ ceremonies. She must now appear before an Internal Grievance Procedure Panel where her demotion will be discussed.
* Gary McFarlane, a relationship counsellor, was sacked because his beliefs prevented him giving sex therapy counselling to homosexual couples.
* a Christian paediatrician was dismissed as a medical adviser because she could not professionally recommend placement of children with same-sex couples. She was only reinstated after a public outcry.
* a Homelessness Prevention Officer with Wandsworth Council was dismissed from work for encouraging a homeless woman with an allegedly incurable medical condition to “look to God for help”.
* foster parent couples have been told that their beliefs about sexual ethics (in particular, homosexuality), didn’t meet “diversity standards” and that they would be refused children.

Will such rulings increasingly happen in Australia?
Will Queensland lead the way down this tyrannical path of thought-policing?
