BROAD VS. JOYCE: a question of character?

Mr Andrew Broad MP has called on Barnaby Joyce to “bench himself”.
Because “when character is lost, all is lost” (he was quoting Billy Graham)
Everyone knows there are many adulterous characters in our parliaments.
In what way is Mr Joyce different?
Well he could have had the baby quietly killed (aborted) a few months ago, but he didn’t….
Let’s admire him for that — not for everything has done, but for having the character to get that supremely important decision right.
What about Mr Broad’s “character”?
After months and years of posturing as a defender of Traditional marriage, he voted Yes in parliament for the same-sex bill.
He recently (re-)tweeted that he himself should be National Party leader.
But does he have the necessary character?
